"Please don't die in my apartment" How one night changed everything - Carrie Corcoran (E045)

She went blind during an intimate moment with a near-stranger. He told her to "give it 20 minutes." Then he asked her not to die in his apartment.
Carrie Corcoran had been divorced for about a year when she took a chance on a fling, despite what she now calls 1,500 red flags. The night ended with a brain aneurysm, half her body gone numb, and her alone on the floor, unable to tie her shoes. Weeks later, an MRI confirmed the aneurysm. Her holistic practitioner had already given her a different explanation: a spiritual attack.
In this episode of The Secret of My Success, host Erin Currin and Carrie Corcoran trace how that night fits into a larger unraveling. It started with two layoffs in a single year, the end of a nearly 20-year marriage, and a spiritual awakening that changed how she sees nearly everything. Carrie describes how she stopped asking "Why did this happen to me?" and started asking "What is this trying to teach me?"
The conversation takes some unexpected turns. Erin pushes back on the popular phrase "the world is on fire" and challenges the habit of calling every hardship a trauma. Two self-described introverts talk honestly about small talk, dating as the ultimate mirror, and how to find the balance between stretching beyond your comfort zone and listening to the intuition telling you to stay home.

So, where we usually get started is with some kind of a challenge or an interesting situation in your life that helped you see things from a new perspective. Where would you like to get us started? Gosh, so my claim to fame is that when I had an orgasm. I had a brain aneurysm, and that was a very scary experience. It was very eye-opening, even though I couldn't see when my eyes opened, because weeks after that, I spoke to my holistic practitioner, and she body tested, did some kinesiology body testing on me, and she asked if it was a spiritual attack on my body, and my body answered yes. Wow, that must have been a really scary situation because here you are having a great time, really enjoying yourself, and you're blind for 20 minutes, and like, what was what was that experience like? Well, considering it's not anything that had ever happened to me before, it was unique, and at the at the time, I I said to the guy who I was with. Now, we back up for a minute. This wasn't someone I knew well. This was truly someone who I had a fling with. And after being divorced for a year and not having any male attention or affection, this was what presented itself, and it's the opportunity that I chose to go with. And when I opened my eyes and I couldn't see, I said to Todd, the guy I was with, I said, "I can't see. And he said to me, "Well, why don't you just give it 20 minutes and see if your eyesight comes back. Wow! And I know, and I didn't, I wasn't really thinking clearly at that time, and so I just brushed it off, and I said, "I'm gonna go take a shower, and you know, maybe my eyesight will come back from The water. Oh wow! It sounds almost like that was a double whammy. Like you have this experience where all of a sudden you have this fantastic experience. Now you can't see, and you're with someone you would think would offer you some, if not assistance, at least support, and then he's like, "Yeah, whatever. And and it seemed, thinking back, it seemed oddly specific that he said 20 minutes. Oh, because was it 20 minutes? It was probably about. 20 minutes, and so you just got up and stumbled to the bathroom by yourself to take a shower. That is what I did. Wow, I think he may have gotten me a towel. I don't remember. Well, um, yeah, I can imagine there might have been a few things going on in your head at that moment, right? Apparently, a brain anneurysm. Well, yeah, but yes, yes, absolutely, obviously. Okay, so you get out of the shower. Was that about when your eyesight came back. It did surprisingly. I mean, my eyesight did come back when I was in the shower, like right before I got out of the shower, and then I went up to the mirror, and I don't know what just like intuition maybe said,"Touch your face, and I did this, and I couldn't feel anything, and so I was like,"Well, that's unusual. And then I started testing my body. I pinched my right arm all the way up and down, and I could feel everything on the right hand side. And then I did the same thing to the left hand side, and I couldn't feel anything on the left hand side, so I was completely numb on the left hand side. Instead of going to the emergency room or having his roommate take me to the emergency room because he doesn't drive at night, and he told me that he was like, "If you need anything, my roommate can help you. I called my sister. I have a twin sister, and I called her because she had a mini stroke previously, and so I called her, told her what happened, and I asked her about her symptoms of her mini stroke because I thought, well, maybe I had a mini stroke or something, and I didn't do anything about it. I tried to put my shoes on, and I was sitting on his floor in the bedroom, and I just couldn't coordinate. There was no coordination with my hands in tying my shoelaces. And he said,"Yeah. So he said to me, "Are you going to sit on the floor all night? And I said, I don't know, maybe. And then asking you to leave. No, no, no, no. He, he's no, because then he said he was like, "Well, why don't you come back up to bed? Why don't you take a nap? Maybe you'll feel better after taking a nap. And I thought, "Well, that's a good idea because I am tired. So I crawled back into bed. Then the next thing he said to me was,"Please don't die inside my apartment. So he kind of had a clue that there was something not right. Okay, so we're gonna set judgment for Todd aside because this isn't about that. I'm talking to the audience as well as to the voices in my head, so just bracket that whole conversation. The way I view life is, everything is a reflection of me, how I'm treated by other people, the experiences that I have, the circumstances that I live-it's one of the core tenets of the Buddhism that I practice. That the environment is a reflection of the self, and so yes, there are victims. Yes, there are crimes. Yes, there are things that happen. I'm not saying that we don't assign blame if there is blame to be assigned, but at the same time, each of us is trying to do the best we can with what we have, and it sounds like both you and this guy were dealing with an extraordinary situation and not quite sure where to go from there. Would that be a fair assessment? That's definitely a fair assessment, yeah, for sure. And and I went home that night because everything did self correct on my body. I got my eyesight back and I had all my feeling back on the left hand side of my body, so I just went home and slept. Wow! And so the next morning, you wake up and you're just like, "Well, that was interesting. Let's get on with life. Yeah, I was like, "Well, okay, that's never happened again, or you know that's never happened before. And I talked to my friend about it, and she said,"Do you think you were drugged? And I thought, well, that could be a possibility because he did tell me that he had mushrooms in his bathroom, and then thinking. Back to the things that he said, like he was very specific about give it 20 minutes. Like he didn't say 1050, He said 20. Give it 20 minutes, and hopefully your eyesight will come back. And then the fact that he said, "Please don't die inside my apartment, like that to me was, well, did you do something where there maybe a cause and effect there that I'm not aware of, and so that's where my mind went the whole time. And so I went to urgent care two days later, and because you know why go the day after, and they ran tests, and they didn't find anything. And I wasn't presenting symptoms, so they said you should follow up with your regular doctor and and tell him about what happened and see what testing he recommends. And then it was in between when I and then so I saw my holistic practitioner first, and then she asked, "Was it a spiritual attack on my body? And she said,"It said yes. So that was very eye opening for me that it was a spiritual attack and not necessarily like like um I don't I mean what's what other kind of attacks can you have? I I don't know. Seeing my regular doctor, he scheduled an MRI for me, and then the MRI is what confirmed that it was a small brain aneurysm. Well, I think that's an interesting path to explore because when we look at taking care of our bodies, it's like we think there's mental, there's physical, there's emotional. Most people don't relate to a spiritual aspect as part and parcel of what we deal with. I personally think that that's a very strong aspect, and most people look at the physical and separate it from the mental and the emotional. But of course, the prevalence of heart attacks on Sunday night, Monday morning is far greater because people are nervous or anxious or upset about going to work the next day. And obviously, if you're engaging in certain activities, there's a increased blood flow and exertion that happens. So, if there was a weak part of the blood vessels of your brain, all of a sudden you're pushing the system a little bit to its limit, and any of those weaknesses is going to pop, but then when you look at it from that spiritual dimension, that's an interesting angle. So when you were talking with your holistic practitioner, and she said it tested as a spiritual attack, like what did you do with that information? I think I just absorbed it for a little bit, and then I have done Reiki sessions before, and I thought, okay, I want to dive into this a little bit deeper and see if I can figure out where this came from. So I scheduled a Reiki appointment. When she looked inside my body and I told her about the experience, she said, "This was not from this lifetime. This wasn't a spiritual attack from this lifetime. This is from lifetimes ago. And if you don't clear your ancestral trauma and what happened in that lifetime, then this will present as other health challenges going forward. And I was like, okay, great. What the hell does that mean? And what do I do now? I'm so confused. So, what then? Well, let me back up a little bit to my spiritual awakening because this truly all ties in together. So, in 2023, I was laid off from two different jobs. I had bookend layoffs-one in January and one in December. The one in December hit me so hard because I had done so much for that company in such a short period of time, and it was just like you built an entire strategy for us. We're going to take it from here. You don't even get to see this strategy launch. Oh, by the way, we're laying you off, and that was like just getting stabbed in the back. So I had a lot of time on my hands, and I was on Twitter now X, and I ran. Across something that made me stop and pause related to conspiracy theories that made me go down rabbit hole after rabbit hole after rabbit hole after rabbit hole after rabbit hole and to start to see behind the veil and different things that have been done to society for centuries. Besides that, I have a friend who is a survivor of satanic ritual abuse and child sex trafficking. So she opened up my eyes to that side of the world, and then it was confirmed by what I discovered on Twitter. So that what that really like she was the catalyst to my spiritual awakening. And then it was just like, okay, now that you are somewhat spiritually awakened, and I don't think like I mean it's it's not a linear process. There's so many different parts and pieces to a spiritual awakening, but that so when someone said it was a spiritual attack on your body, and this was from ancestral trauma with me going through a spiritual awakening, like I understood it on that. I understood like what that meant, and from that perspective, so it wasn't so foreign to me to be like, "Oh, you were spiritually attacked, because I've worked with some psychics before, and a spiritual coach, and my spiritual coach actually said you were spiritually spiritually attacked by this person. Like they hired a practitioner to do black magic against you. Okay, so I guess I'm curious. Like you have the spiritual attack, but now what? Where was the shift? So I think the shift for me was taking a look at okay, why did I put myself in that situation in the first place? And I should have like there were 1500 red flags with this guy, and I ignored every single red flag because we shook hands at the pool, and I felt something when we shook hands that I hadn't felt in years-not just since my divorce, but like during my marriage. It forced me to look at making better choices in the future and not doing things that would impact me mentally that I have to that I get trauma from and that I have to heal from because I had to heal from that whole experience, and that was it was a very traumatic experience and I had to heal from that. And speaking about it does help with that healing, so thank you for this platform, and so it was looking at that. Just taking a look at myself and saying, "Okay, Carrie, you've got to make better choices when it comes to men situations you're putting yourself in. You know, I was trying to put my push myself outside of my comfort zone by talking to people who I didn't know, and I thought, well, this is a good thing, and it didn't turn out so well. But it also helped me level up in so many different ways. Now I didn't make the smartest choice with the next person because he actually stole my debit card information, and throughout that whole experience, I had to heal from that trauma as well. Throughout that, I did level up though. And then the next person who I had actually dated and was in a relationship with for a little over nine months-I mean, he was just a wounded masculine-but he didn't steal from me, and I didn't get a brain aneurysm. So I figured, you know, I did level level up in some ways, right? Like every single thing that happened just forced me to look deeper inside myself and say, like, don't settle. Just focus on yourself. Focus on your healing. Like whatever your trauma is from your past, even if you can't figure out what that is, just heal yourself and look at everything from the lens of love and what is this trying to teach me? Really powerful. Thank you for for sharing that. It's funny because this morning I had a conversation with my coach, and we were talking about how do I know when it's good to trust my intuition, and how do I know when it's my survival mechanism that's making that choice for me? And when I say survival mechanism, that's a pretty specific term to the the school of thought that I. Inside of coaching, but what it points to is those behaviors that we learn growing up and through traumatic experiences, where we make a decision about how life is or how we are inside of life, and then that runs us for the rest of our life. And I went to an event last night, and it was one of those. I'm kind of stretching outside of my comfort zone. I'm an introvert; like I would prefer to stay home, but at the same time, I enjoy people. I just enjoy authenticity, really deep conversations, and it can be challenging to find that, because I I think it's like we have to go through this process of trial and effort, trial and error. As I'm asking this question this morning about trusting intuition versus is it survival mechanism, the very first question my coach asked me was, well, what was the intention behind the event? Like, well, it was a sweat lodge. Okay, great. And why did you go? Well, because I've been doing a cleanse for 10 days, and I wanted to sweat to help my body release some of the toxins that I've been letting go from the cells. Okay. And was that part successful? Yeah. So does it matter that you didn't meet your new BFF, no, you didn't have deep conversations. That you weren't part of the clique. No, it's not why I went. Why I went was very clear and very specific, and I think it points to what you're saying because as I've been on plant medicine journeys or as I do any kind of healing work, it can be really easy to get sidelined, distracted by what we think we should be looking for inside of these relationships or experiences. And if you hadn't met Todd by the pool, you wouldn't know what you know now about this mechanism, right? Exactly. If I hadn't gone to the sweat lodge last night with a very clear intention of just like it was probably the most intense sweat I've done, so definitely accomplished my goal. But then I was feeling a little crunchy about well, you know, I wasn't part of the clique. I I didn't belong. No, you needed to go home, and relax, rest, take advantage, and integrate what you got in the lodge. Don't go around all chatty Kathy talking with a bunch of people because you're you're diluting or expressing or expelling the energy that you collected. I think that that's actually a really key. It's a the question isn't did we make the mistake. The question is did we learn the lesson from stepping off the path? 100% And Erin, I'm very proud of you for putting yourself out there and going to an event, because as a fellow introvert, I can relate wholeheartedly. And and it is it's it's about what is this trying to teach me? And every single time something happened, I leveled up, and now like my intuition has gotten so much stronger, and my discernment has gotten so much stronger. So it's really it's looking at love as discernment now, and using that lens in how I view things that I come across, or people, places, things, and experiences. So looking at things through this lens of learning the lesson and leveling up, while you might recognize that Todd was not the best choice or the next guy who stole the debit card, at the same time you can also see how they served a function in life, and like how does that shift your experience around your willingness to go out and try things and be in the world? I hermit a lot at home. I'm my own best company, I should say. I have my my dog my dog keeps me company. It doesn't keep me from not venturing out into the world and meeting new people and having new experiences. I know that's part of life, and I I am a connector at heart, and so I need to connect with and innately in me to connect with others, so it hasn't dissuaded me at all when it comes to dating. Though I truly believe that we're we're mirrors, like you were saying, we reflect back where we are in life, and so even with the last. Guy I dated, I was mirroring mirroring back to him like everything that he didn't want to heal from. He was mirroring back to me that I was more deserving of how he treated me. To answer your question, it I I still I still venture out, but small talk is hard for me. That's one of the challenging things. Have you are you familiar with Joe Dispenza? I know the name for sure, and I'm I'm sure I've seen some of of his information and readings out there. Okay, he runs retreats focused around teaching meditation techniques. Those events can be almost 2000 people in a room, and it can be a bit overwhelming if I'm not really crystal clear why I'm there. Like the first time I went, I went with an extrovert who was like all over the place and dragging me all around and introducing me to all these people, and it was just it was, it was painful and it was challenging. And it, I mean, the meditations were great, but the people part of it was not. I ended up going back to another one, and that time I did it on my own terms and my own speed, and I let myself get centered before I went into the main room, and every time I would sit next to exactly the right person. And that doesn't mean that I created lifelong relationships with every single person I connected with. It does show up in the conversations being deeper, the connections being deeper, more meaningful, we were able to share an experience, and there was a level of freedom and flexibility in it that I hadn't had with the first one, going with my extrovert friend, and I I think that it's important for us to well at least in my life I'm learning that it's important for me to honor how I prefer to do things and strip away all of the judgments that I picked up from my parents from the course of my life, and how socializing should happen, and how those connections need to be, and get that we're not the same. We're just not like we're all coming from different experiences and different levels, and some people are on spiritual journeys like yourself, and some people just are not. It's almost like they're non-playable characters. Like, well, from the spiritual game realm, they're just sort of people that you run across as you go through life, and they serve a purpose, and then they disappear. I would agree with that. There are a lot of NPCs Out there. So, how do you deal with this idea of your spiritual growth and development, knowing that there are so many different dimensions and aspects to consider? That's a great question. I think for me, like I started pretty small with it. I was like, okay, what can I do to get in tune with myself, my body, become more comfortable to be my authentic self? Because I wore a mask for a long time, so I started working out three times a week. I started doing yoga once a week, I started dancing daily because dancing just like it puts me in flow, and I just do whatever I want to do, and I freestyle dance, and I kind of look like an idiot most of the time. But that's okay. That's who I am. That's my that's my authentic self. I'm that person who, if there's a good song that comes on in the restaurant, and I'm sitting in a booth, like I'm gonna start jamming. I'm gonna start dancing in the booth. I dance in the car. I dance in my living room, and I record it every morning, and I post it on Facebook for my followers to see. So that, like, that helped me get back into like myself and my authenticity, and then on the spiritual side of things, I've just had a lot of really unique experiences that can't be explained. Every time I would have one of those experiences, I would just be like, "Okay, universe, like spirit, like what do you want to show me next? Like I'm open to like I surrendered. I finally surrendered and just said I surrender like whatever the universe wants to show me. Show me like what is my path? What does that look like? Even if like I know that we. Have a purpose. We all have a path, and and what is that? Just bring me closer to it. Show me signs. Show me that I'm not crazy. And then I have a super high frequency, super high vibration. I make lights blink. My my energy is so intense that lights will blink sometimes. So I experienced that, and it was like even when I was at work, lights would blink in the conference room because I was in the conference room, and of course I I'm seeing it, and I'm I'm going like that was me that you know, but I couldn't say anything because people would think I'm crazy, and I see orbs quite frequently. The sun is so intense that I can only look at it for like a minute without seeing colors around it, and so I've just been experiencing so many different things from that spiritual side and perspective since raising my level of consciousness and doing all of these things, even if I wasn't like intentionally saying,"Okay, I'm going to do this to heal this trauma, it's just exploring and doing different things to get like back into my body and and truly embrace myself, and so that's kind of how I've approached it. I I never know what I'm gonna see or experience. Well, I think that's an interesting point. So I'm hearing that you started moving your body, you started working out, you started dancing, and allowing yourself to go with how you feel like you want to move when you say like that spiritual development aspect of things. Is there a specific key component to that, or is it dialing in to be more authentic and moving yourself to be more grounded in your body, and those are the access pathways. I would say, I mean, the big flip for me was mindset, and to approach everything with an attitude of gratitude, and again, like, what is this trying to teach me? And looking at everything from a lens that way, that was a big shift for me, and then I started journaling too, and so that was that was a piece of it. And then specific rituals, I started doing specific rituals, like blowing the cinnamon in every the first of every month, and for abundance, and just like truly switching to an abundance and a gratitude mindset, and approaching everything from love, not fear. That has helped me so much in my spiritual growth because, like, the world is on fire outside of us, but we're all we're all one with source, and and so it's just tapping into to that. I'm terrible when it comes to meditating. I have no clue how to meditate. I really don't. But dance is also a form of meditation, so maybe I am pretty good at meditating. So it was just it was your perspective. Yeah, I think it was just it was shifting the mindset, and it's so hard for people to shift their mindset. And you know, I've been told that I'm a healer at least seven times, and and I determined that my spiritual gift is my voice. It's not necessarily. I don't have to do energy healing. I don't have to do Reiki on people or become a practitioner. In that way, it is my spiritual gift, is my voice, and I just kept seeing angel numbers like supporting this, and everything else would support this from the universe. And so, the mindset. There are a couple of things that I want to circle back to. First, this idea of healing. I remember sitting at, I think it might have been my second or third plant medicine ceremony, and as we, you know, it's like you set up the circle and open the directions, and people start to share their intention. And I was thinking, what do I want to heal? What do I want to work on? And I heard somebody on the other side of the circle. They went around the other way, fortunately, and she was saying,"Oh, I want to heal this and heal this and heal this. And there was a voice in my brain that was like, "That's not the path. What I started to see from that is, we all experience traumas. We all experience challenges, hardships, and if we call everything a trauma and we try to accumulate traumas and you know walk around and go, my list is bigger than yours, then I think that. It gets to be really super meaningless after a little while, and I had to acknowledge that I had an addiction to wanting to heal, and I wasn't getting anywhere because the minute I ran out of problems, I was so busy looking for the next problem that I wasn't looking forward, and I hear that being a lot of what you're saying from that perspective of when you're shifting your mindset from what's wrong to what's right, then the world opens up in completely different ways. Oh, it it does, and you you attract different people too. You attract people who are more on your spiritual level, and it it just happens by osmosis, law of attraction, exactly. Like attracts the other thing, and I'm just gonna put this out there because I hear so many people say it, and it just really like no offense. It gets under my skin when I hear people say the world is on fire. It's like we're all supposed to agree that the world is on fire, and it's not. There are a lot of intense conflicts going on, but if we're really being clear and specific about this idea of the law of attraction, and we are powerful creators, then how is it that oh, there's a dumpster on fire over there that I have absolutely nothing to do with, so I'm just gonna sit over here in my little kumbaya world, and it's not. This is not a reflection on you. There are probably some people who will be watching this episode going,"Well, she's never said anything about that when I've mentioned the world's on fire. It's because I'm biting my tongue. I'm. I'm I'm starting to see that that doesn't necessarily serve because the reason why the world is on fire is because we resist the idea of somebody disagreeing. We resist the idea that somebody has a different point of view, we're resisting whether it's this president or that president or this Congress person or that Congress person or this party or that or this idea or that is it communism or is it capitalism or whatever ism or like it's that's where the fire comes from. The fire isn't because we're at war in the Middle East. the The fire is being created each and every day based on what we're railing against. Nichiren Daishonin is the creator, the the the person who started the Nitrian Buddhist practice that I follow back in the 1200s, and one of the things that he said are heaven and hell are both within this five foot frame. It's basically what I choose to focus on, and so if I go around saying the world is on fire, then it feels like the world is on fire. I just I I I can't go there, and I'm not even willing to say it around people who like they say it, and I just bite my tongue and sit on. So I will I will switch that, and I will say that there is a fire burning inside of people that they don't recognize that they have, and a light that they don't recognize that they have, and if everybody became more conscious, the world would be a better place because there would be more people who are looking at it from a lens of love and not fear. So I agree. I will stop saying the world is on fire. Thank you. And I also want to acknowledge that many of us will say things like that because if you're over here talking about how happy you are and how your life is working, and all of these other people over here are talking about how the world is on fire. It's almost like you have to acknowledge that in order for them not to mess with you, instead of being ruthlessly and strictly compassionate with people, and like reflecting back. That we all have a hand in this, and probably several of the gurus have said this, but I think Wayne Dyer is probably one of the first to have said one person in alignment is more powerful than a million who aren't, and so like we really, truly do have a superpower, and I think personally, like, I can say something like this to you, based on what you're sharing about your spiritual journey, because it's going to land for you, and there's going to be somebody who's attracted to this particular episode to hear what you're sharing, that will be able to hear it. Whereas somebody who tunes into the episode where I'm talking with the realtor about how she changed careers or the journalist about how she overcame her work visa being revoked, that kind of a conversation isn't quite as spiritually elevated. There are still dimensions of of law of attraction, and what you focus on expands, and listening to your intuition. But I think it's a deeper cut in this kind of a conversation. What do you think? Oh, I I would agree. I'm sure, and some people might look at this conversation just be like,"They're crazy. What are they talk? What are they talking about? Those witches don't know what they're talking about. Yep. No. Yes. So you know, I I want to acknowledge you and thank you for bringing that phrase because I've been wanting to say something to somebody about it for a minute, so I guess I created this. But I think that's also one of the reasons why I have a strict no politics policy because I don't want to get stuck in the quagmire of the us versus them. For me, it's a higher level kind of a conversation. Agreed. You know how do I? How can I think that I have ultimate power over my life, the universe, and everything to direct in a way that serves me if I'm feeling like I have to bend the way I speak to a particular listening? Yeah, that's that's putting the mask on, and you don't want to do that, and you're creating a ripple effect by allowing voices on here with different opinions, and and like you said, like that one person can like light up an entire grid. So that's what you and I are here to do is create those ripple effects and and put our light out there so that so that we can illuminate others and help them rise as well. That's true. Well, thank you for participating in that little tirade. I really appreciate how you have taken on your your spiritual growth and involvement. What would you say was probably the most important aspect of your growth in this area, or the biggest lesson? I think to heal you have to feel, and I didn't really feel in my marriage. I was married for almost just shy of 20 years, and I didn't feel. I mean, I'm maybe did a little bit here and there, but truly, it wasn't until after I got divorced and when I started going through my spiritual awakening-that like the 20 years of emotions that I never felt, like they just came in waves. That was, I think, the hardest thing for me to grasp was why am I having all of these emotions? Like I used to not be so emotional, like in high school, in college, I just wasn't emotional at all. And now, like I'll go by greeting cards and I'll cry in the aisle when I'm reading the cards. It's just like I'm an empath, and I didn't know what an empath was back then, right? And now, like I can see it, and I'm sensitive, and when you feel that deeply, you scare a lot of people. You either repel them or you attract them. And so I think that was the biggest challenge for me was just someone, my psychic who I see every once in a while. She said to me, "She's like, stop trying to figure out why. Just let it happen. And I was like, okay. So I stopped asking why. That's no easy feat. Well, okay. Let me not create that. So you just dropped asking why. Yep. Stop at stopped asking why. I just whenever emotions show up, I. Just I just feel them, and I'm pretty sure I feel other people's emotions too as an empath. And a lot of times, it's like I'm not even feeling my emotions. Like this is someone else's stuff. I'm sure it would be too difficult for me to figure out whose it is. So I'm just like, let it flow. I cry. I cry in the car. I usually like once a day, maybe. I mean, today I haven't, so you know the day is young. It's funny. I I don't wear makeup a lot anymore, and when I do, especially on the podcast, it's waterproof mascara. It has to be. I switched to waterproof mascara as soon as I started my spiritual awakening. It helps. It doesn't. It doesn't fix everything, but you know, you do what you can. Super powerful. I think that that's great. Just stop asking why. I've gotten to the point in my journey, where when I start to feel wound up, like if I I start to feel like overstimulated, or if I'm starting to feel like this form of angst or anxiety, and if I can't explain it, then I know I need to just go sit down for five minutes. I don't need to ask questions. I don't need to yell at any. I just need to go sit down, breathe for a couple of minutes, and it will pass. And if it is something that needs to be addressed, it it'll show up later. And and so while you would go sit and meditate with it, I would just go in the corner and cry. Different, different modal, different, different modalities for different people. Oh, I cry plenty. Like, but yeah, for me, it's one of those things where just sometimes I just get so wound up if I'm if I'm having a conversation with somebody and I'm about to express something super vulnerable and I feel afraid, the tears start falling almost like before I even start speaking. It can be a little confronting, like you say. When when people see you start to cry, then they get they get weird. They think you're upset? It's like no, it's not. It's it's not emotion like you understand emotion. It's this is just exactly yeah my my ex husband. I remember one of the times that I was sitting with him having coffee, and this was as we were. I think this was after we got divorced. We're still good friends. I mean, we we parted amicably, and I started crying, and he was like, "Don't cry, don't cry, you you don't. I'm like, "Don't tell me not to cry. I'm gonna cry if I want to. It's it's my party. I'm gonna cry if I want to. After a little while, people get used to it, or they don't. Oh, my friends are like they're not surprised anymore. I think it's a beautiful thing. Let your let your tears flow. Exactly the frequencies. We gotta gotta let them out. Yeah. Well, and one of the ideas that I've started looking into lately is this idea of emotional and spiritual energetic alchemy. You know, like we talk about, a lot of people will say the world is on fire. Let's just say that there's a certain overarching vibration, and there are some of us. I don't know if the right phrase would be meant to. There are some of us that are just processing that and alchemizing that into something else. And so I think that that your policy of not asking why is really beneficial from that kind of a standpoint because if I'm being bombarded with all sorts of emotions and I'm not really sure what it's about, if my job is to process it and I'm constantly digging through every pile that I'm handed, I'm not really going to get very far, am I? No, and and you're right. We we are the alchemists. There is a collective of alchemists out there, and we turn that power into pain. And we're here to raise the frequency and the vibration of the planet 100. You said turn the power into pain. Did you mean that the other way around? I just want to be clear for the recording because that sounded like a Freudian slip. Turn the pain into power. If that's truly what you meant, if you meant it the other way around, that's. A different show, but no, these these are because I'm laughing. Okay, okay, so it's turning the pain into power. Correct. Okay, great. Well, thank you for clarifying. All right, awesome. Well, I mean, if you can believe it, we've been chatting for just about an hour, so I'm gonna ask at this point if there's anything that you would like to circle back and highlight, or something that you wanted to share that you feel needs to be said that we haven't already covered. Well, I would just say that we are all unbreakable light, and we have to sometimes fracture in order to let the light come in. And if we listen to what the light is trying to tell us, then we can grow and evolve from that. And to me, light stands for love, ignite, give, heal, and transform. Excellent. Thank you for sharing that. You're welcome. And thanks for sharing the space with me today. It's been a fun conversation. I appreciate your sharing such a vulnerable experience.
